The Sydney Labor Council lias passed a siiuiig resolution in which they express disgust at the action of the Victorian Government m bringing about an industrial crisis by forcing the nuway men to stand up for their rights as men, or he shackled like bond-slaves. The Council, which numbers forty thousand, has pledged itself U> support tite men in *• the atrocious UeaUnen! ” meted out to them. Mr O'Sullivan, speaking at a banquet of Hie Stonemasons' Unions, ventured the opinion that the trouble would end in favor of tite men. Ail they asked, he said, was freedom. The great heart of the people of Australia sympathised with the men.
