There was a smaller entry than usual at Addington market to-day, and owing to the wet weather buyers were present in fever numbers. Fat cattle : 220 head wero yarded. Mills cows and heifers were only of moderate quality. For these there was a poor demand, but all prime quality maintained late rates ; steers brought To Ds to XlO 17s Od, heifers XD IDs to X*J 12s Gd, cows XI 17s Gd to X'J 12s GJ, beef 2-ls to 2'Js per 1001 b. Fat sheep : There was a fair yarding, and the entry comprised a good proportion of prime wethers and ewes suitable for freezing. For these butchers and export buyers competed briskly, and despite the small attendance prices for the best quality of ewes wero rather better than those ruling last week, and wethers sold at about recent rates. Freezing wethers brought 10s Gd to 19s lid, extra heavy 20s to 20s Sd, lighter los 9d to 17s, Merinos Ills 9d to IDs 3d, freezing ewes los to 16s GJ, butchers’ ewes 11s to 17s Gd. Fat lambs : About 1000 were penned, tho bulk being of prime quality. For these there was a keen demand at prices a shade firmer than those ruling last week. Freezers brought 12s to IDs, tegs IDs Id to IDs Bd, butchers’ 10s Gd to 12s Gd, few extra heavy IDs 3d. Pi"s : There was a small entry and irregular stde. Baconers brought 11s Gd to 02s, equal to lid per lb ; porkers 27s to GBs Gd, equal to Od per lb ; suckers and weavers 7cl to 10s, slips IQs to 15s,
