SCHOOL FOR MAORI GIRLS.
(Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. Tho Queen Victoria school for Maori girls was opened by tho Governor this afternoon in the presence of a large gathering, including Bishop Neiigan and visiting Bishops. .Speeches were made by His Excellency, Bishop Neiigan, and others, in was announced iliac tho following sums had been contributed to the school by the various dioceses : Waiapu, £IJG6 ; Wellington, £BSB ; Dunedin, £110; Nelson, £223; Christchurch, £190; Auckland, £1050; bazaar in Auckland, £BSO ; total. £5187.
