Grout activity is now being displayed in tl-o extension of international telephones. Brussels and London and Paris and liome are already connented. Negotiations are now in progress between the Russian and German Governments to still further enlarge the area of international telephones py a direct lino connecting St. Petersburg and Berlin, John Connolly, an old age pensioner, who lived alone near Orange, N.S.W., was burnt to death through being stricken with paralyse, and falling into the fire.
