FEDERAL GOVERNOR-GENERAL.

Lord Lytton, a grandson of Bulwer Lytton, the celebrated author, and a son of Lord Lytton, Minister to Portugal, Viceroy of India, and Ambassador to Paris, is mentioned as a possible successor to Lord Tennyson. His Lordship is 27 years of age.
