The great motor-car race in Ireland for the prize of two thousand guineas, ottered by Mr Gordon Bonnett, proprietor of the New York Herald—an event which has been exsiting great interest in tho automobile world, took place to-day. There were twelve competitors.
The weather was glorious. Crowds of sightseers, many of whom had come from Europe and America, camped all night along the line of route, paying a huge price for tents. Edge, on his Napior machino, led the first two rounds. The space was terrific. A later report shows that a German competitor is leading, with a Frenchman second, an accident having stopped tho Englishman who first led.
