TAPANUI GROG CASES.
(Per Press Association.) Dunedin, last night.
A case against O'Dowd, of Tapanui, on a charge of selling liquor was dismissed, and a conviction was Recorded on a charge of unlawfully keeping liquor for sale, namely two gallons of beer, 24 bottles of wine, and 12 bottles of whisky. The case lasted well on to the evening. He was sentenced to three months. Notice of appeal was given, and the £IOO fixed as security being forthcoming, O’Dowd was released.
