NORFOLK ISLAND.

Received 9.44 p.m., June 8. Norfolk Island, July 8. This morning the Chief Magistrate read the new laws and regulation and swore in the members of the new Executive Council. He announced his retirement and departure by the next steamer. Mr A. A. C. Robinson was appointed Secretary of the Council, also of Lloyds’ agency here. The Ovalau left yesterday afternoon. Bishop Wilson was a passenger.
