Saiueauoii ctiid Water supply
(To the Editor Gisborne Times.)
Sir,-‘-Quite refreshing to find a medical man sending you a communication on our water supply. A lady fiiend has suggested it was peculiar appearing on the morning of the election, and that if the Council had passed a by-law to' insist on more tanks being supplied to every house it would have been much more sensible than insisting on baths, which are often useless for want of water. It would be a great improvement if imperative that every four-roomed cottage had not less than 1000-gal-lon tank ; six rooms, 1500 ; eight rooms, 2000/ etc., on the part of pvery owner: No taxes on rain water. Good drainage is also imperative.—l am, etc., J. PECKOVER.
