FROZEN MEAT COMPANY. By Telegraph I'lesr .insociauon Dunedin, last night. The annual report of the directors of the Refrigerating Company statos that during the year 124.572 sheep and 117,006 lambs havo been put through, making a total of 241,078 bead ; in addition 4379 cattle havo been slaughtered and frozen, and tho company has also frozen 45,135 crates of rabbits. Tho balaneo of profit and loss amounts to £9431, which it is recommended should be divided as follows to a dividend on preference shares of six per cent., £67; dividend on all shares of 7 per cent., £2019 ; depreciation, £2629 ; to reserve fund, £4000; carrying ; forward £723.
DENTISTRY. At tha University Council to day the committeo reported on the subject of a dental school that the University authorities wero willing to facilitate the movement as far as the opening of classes to dental students was concerned. Carrying out the scheme was impossible, however, unless tho Hospital trustees granted the use of a room and opened an out-patient department for tho teaching of practical dental surgery. Thoro were no funds available for building a dental institute.
