Melbourne, Aug. 3. Lowland Chief out his stifle and injured his knees in the Caulfield National Hurdle r Race, and-*will probably be unable to race for some time. My Mistake is in demand for the National Steeplechase at all the. money available. Only a small amount was taken at 8 to 1, after which the horse was equal favorite with Isis and Freedom at 6 to 1.
