ALLEGED CRIMINAL ASSAULT

Napier, last night. A man named James Koorey, a fancygoods dealer, was to-day committed for trial for a criminal assault on a girl under 14 years of age. The evidence showed that the man made an assignation with the girl, who informed the police, who witnessed the act and captured Koorey.
