THEFT OF GOLD.
Per Press Association,
Nelson, last night. News from Collingwood states that on Thursday night or Friday morning the boxes of the Parapara Hydraulic Sluicing Co., at Gleugyle, were gone through by a thief or thieves, and completely washed up. They were estimated to contain over fifty ounces of gold. There is no clue, but the opinion is held that the deed was committed by someone acquainted with the place.
