Tho Canadian Government has contracted with Colombier Brothers, of Bordeaux, for a steamship service between Bordeaux and Quebec in f, bo summer, arid Bordeaux and Halifax and St. John s in tho winter for a period of ton yoars, beginning in April next. Becoived 1 a.m., Sept. 1. Canada pays 100,000 dollars for eighteen trips, and 133,000 dollars for twenty-four trips annually under tho now Bordeaux contract.
