MANGATU STOCK BRIDGE

(From Our Own Correspondent.) Whatatutu, last night. A largely attended meeting of Mangatu settlers was held at tho Whatatutu Hotel to-day to consider the question of a stock bridge. Amongst those present were Messrs Guthrie Smith, Rutledge, Hegarty, Hawkins, Tullock, Marlin. After a general discussion it was agreed to wait another three months to see what the Government intended to do in the matter. If nothing is done by that time the settlers will erect a traffic bridge, providing they get £ for £ subsidy from the Government for the same.
