SUPREME COURT.
Per Press Association. Napier, last night. At the Supreme Court to-day Edward Scarfe was found guilty of assaulting and causing actual bodily harm to Catherine Edith French at Dannevirke on the 19th August, but a verdict of not guilty was returned on the charge of attempting to murder. Charles Tomlin was found guilty of stealing from his partner, Charles Baker. A verdict of not guilty was returned on two other charges of obtaining goods by false pretences, and horse stealing. Both prisoners were remanded for sentence.
