BAKERS AND MILLERS.
A SIMPLE LITTLE TALE FROM CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association. Christchurch, last night. Several local bakers, interviewed by tho Lyttelton Times reporter to-day, stated that the trade was in great difficulty. The margin of profit on bread was small, and master bakers had to work hard for light returns. They asserted that the Millers’ Association had no control over bakers, and thought Mr T. E. Taylor must have been misinformed. The general opinion 'was that bakers could not possibly be more free than at present.
