At the grave desecration enquiry Desmond, veterinary surgeon, deposed that he had sent Dr Ramsay at least fifty human specimons, tho greater proportion being received by him from other States. Witness had heard that Smith, in order to enable him to give expert evidenco, had made experiments at shooting at dead bodies in the Hospital. N Martin, a trustee of the cemetery, gave evidence as to the mixed up condition of some of the remains which had been exhumed, most of the bodies being minus various members. In one instance a liver was found occupying the place of a skull. The case for the defence commences on Monday.
