PROTEST BY JOURNALISTS.
(Per Press Association.) Christchurch, last night. At a meeting of the Canterbury Journalists’ Union to-day a resolution was passed protesting against tho statement in the report of tho Privileges Committee of the House of Representatives to tho effect that in future any reporter who refuses to divulgo to a Committee of the House tho course of 003’ information ho has received and made use of, which may bo considered a breach of parliamentary privilege, shall be disqualified from occupying a seat in tho press gallery of tho House ; also against a statement reportod to have been made by the Premier, to the effect that reporters are in tho press gallery of the Houso during the pleasuro of the Houses.
