POVERTY BAY ROWING CLUB’S
TRIAL FOURS.
The first rowing contest of tho season in this district takes place this evening, when the first event of tho Poverty Bay Rowing Club’s series of trial four races will ovontuato. Tho crews have been in training for some three weeks past, and good races are expected, The course will be on tho Taruhoru, a mile being the distance. The competing crews for this evening are:
Arch. Kirk, str F. Fox, str E. Morris, 3 J. Morrissey, 3 E. Newton, 2 A. McConnell, 2 J. Roderick, bow W. Pritchard, bow To-morrow evening the contest will be between
A, W. Kirk, str Alf, Pritchard, str \. Somervell, 3 J. Brooking, 3 F. Poarson, 2 P- Lynch, 2 A. Oxenham, bow Len Tate, bow On Thursday ovening the final will take place, when tho winners of this evening’s and to-morrow evening’s events row off.
