AMALGAMATION.
POLL OF WHATAUPOKO RATEPAYERS. Very little interest was taken on Saturday in regard to the poll of Whataupoko ratepayers on the amalgamation proposals, and but a very small percentage of those on the roll taking the trouble to vote. Mr A. G. Beere, clerk to the Road Board, conducted the poll, the result of which was announced as follows : In favor of Amalgamation ... 12 .* Against Amalgamation 37 Informal 7
