The Supreme Court was occupied all to-ilay hearing the case in which William Parker sought a dissolution of marriage with his wife, and claimed from Enicst Barnes, tho corespondent. £SOOO damages. Tho parties reside in Wanganui. .Respondent was a high-casto Maori, and married in 1890, She and her husband camo to Wanganui in, 1901, and lived togpthor until 1903, when an intimacy sprang .up between Mrs Parker and the co-respondent. Barnes' wife died in 1903, and tho Parkers invited his ohildren. to live with them. Barnes being told to visit .thorn as often as he wished. Adultery, was .admitted by .tho respondent and co-respondent. Tho jury returned a verdict for £1750 and costs against the co-res-pondent.
