The lamb market is quiet. Prices have slightly declined for all grades. is a better demand for beef. The Average price today of bindqnarters of New Zealand* beef ia 3j£d per lb, forequarters 2gd. The butter market is very- firm, with an exceptional demand, for which tho supply falls short. The average price to day for ohoicest New Zealand .butter is 107 s per cwt, Danish Ills, Argentine 105 s. The cheese market is very firm, and is advancing owing to the strong demand. The average price of finest New Zealand cheeso to-day is 555. Tho cocksfoot sood market is steady, a few enquiries being made by speculative buyers. The average price for bright, dean Now Zealand cocksfoot seed, weighing 'l7lb per bushel, on spot, is 51s per owt.
