With the object of makiDg the Thames the distributing centre of the upper goldfields for cargoes which will be landed here when the Waihi branch railway is completed, the Harbor Board propose to s*o; ride additional and deeper wafces and wharf accommodation. Mr Hamer, Auck* land Harbor engineer, will be asked to ad vise as to the best and most economical course to pursue.
