A' few days ago a white woman; was convicted of attempitang to D.oison a Kanaka with whom and anotliet ‘ Kanaka she had been living. .Yesterday, it ‘ was discovered that both Kanakas were suffering from leprosy ir, an advanced form. It 1s oiated that symptoms of arsenical poisoning are identical with a certain stage of leprosy, fleyclopjmeut of which is therefore possible.
