THE CIVIL SERVICE.
(Per Press Association.) Westport, last night.
At a meeting of cicil servants at West port this’ evening the following resolution was unanimously- carried : — ,c That this meeting of civil servants, in tho district of Westport, is unanimously of opinion that the time has arrived when the Government should bring into force an adequate scheme whereby employees who have iu many instances renderod lifelong and loyal service to fhe colony may be enabled to end their days in comparative comfort.”
