The price of potatoes to-day was easier, being from Ll2 10s to Ll 3 10s per ton. Westport, last night. Tbe plaeing on the estimates of only L 10.500 for the Wesfcpoit-Inangahuia junction railway is considered most disappointing in Westport, and a publio meeting is being called by the railway League for the purpose of .entering a strong protest against the paltry amount, and to pass resolutions requesting tho Minister to make better provision for the early construction of the portion of the railway advocated by placing a substantial additional vote on the supplementary estimates.
