EXCITING EXPERIENCES,

Wellington, Monday. The alleged ghost, who oaused something of a scare in the Mitcbelltown district a few weeks ago, is supposed to have changed his scene of operations. At any rote, stories have come to the Post from the Hutt district concerning a figure which bears an aspect very similar to the phosphorus illumined figure whioh caused excitement in the south-western part ot the city. A woman is said to be lying dangerously ill at the Taito as a result of shook oaused by the sudden appearance of a strange figure, and a girl at the Warworn received a severe shook to her nervous system. A man residing in the region known bs “ Skytown ” faintod from the shook of the strange figure appearing without warning, and a man going to his home at Ngahauranga was so badly soared that he lost his presence of mind and bolted. The viotim of the latter adventure is said to have seen a tall figure dressed in a long dark overcoat. On the latter article being thrown open there appeared in phosphorus the outline of a coffin on the vest, with the words: 11 Are you prepared to meet your doom ?" Another report Btates that the perpetrator of these ghastly jokes went to a lonely house in the Hutt district one evening, knocked at tho door, and when the door was opened the Btrange figure that confronted tho woman of the house gave her suoh a shook that she fainted.
