Young Lyon himself is a full dark brown, with black points. He was bred by Mr R. D. D. McLean, Maraekakabo, Hawke’s Bay. He baa got great substance, good bone and hair, is very active, and shows remarkably good temper. His young stook are showing great quality, and one of his two-year-old geldings took first prize at the Poverty Bay A. and P. Sooiely’s Show, 1904, against five other geldings and fillies by well-bred stallions. There are a number of his young stock at work and proving themselveß to be good, staunch workers. TEBMS: £3 5s single mares; two or more mares belonging to same owner, as may be arranged. The former is by Musket—Frailty, and Boie is by St. Leger— Hipponn. It will therefore be seen that the pedigree is of an exceedingly high-class, and the stallion’s successes alone Bhould recommend him to owners of suitable mares. Sabretache is a beautiful brown horse, Btanding 16 hands 2 inches in height, and is good-tempered. He is the sire of-ftMr C. Bing’s mare Certainty, who won the Tekapu Handicap in fast time at the last winter meeting of the Takapuna Jockey Club, and has also furnished many other excellent turf records Gcod paddocking, with plenty of water, for two months will be provided for mares. All care taken, but no responsibility. All mares not removed after notice of stinting has been given will be charged 2s'6d per week for paddocking.
