Received 4 59 p.m., Oct. 22. ► Melbourne, Oct.-21. There was fine weather and a large attendance (or the concluding day's raoes. The results were Hurdles—Betrayer 1, Matong 2, Destroyer 3. There were els starters. The batting was even money Betrayer. The latter won by two lengths. Time, 4.10 J. Gwyn Nursery Handicap—lolairo 1, Lady Evelyn 2, Orleans 8. There were 23 Blatters. The betting was 6 to 1 lolaire, who won after a good finish by a bead. Time, 68-i sees. CAULFIELD CUP, Marvel Loch ... ... ... 1 Warroo 2 Torah 3 All started but Dandslla. The betting was 4 to 1 Torab, 5 to 1 Boabdil, 10 to 1 Maniapoto and Matvei Loch. Shortly after the start the most prominent horses . were Troytown, Haiteras, Maniapoto, and ' Torah, and at the baok theee were joined by Elvo and Harmony. At tbe rajlway side Harmony was in command, but Marvel Looh, Warroo, and Scot Free were moving up smartly. Scott Free a little later on fell. Marvel Looh led into the straight, and coming away full of running, won by two lengths from Warroo. who defeated Torah by four lengths. Emir was fourth. The time wae 2.85 J. Wynna Steeplechase—Sweeper 1, Error 2, General 3. Six others ran. The betting was 7 to 4 against Sweeper, who won easily. Time, 4.49 J. , „ , , . Windsor Handicap—Roy croft 1, Japbet 2, Alkada 3. Six others ran. Even money Japbet, 6 to 1 Roycroft. There was a great finish, the race being won on the post. Time, 1.15 J-, Moora Welter—Circuit 1, Dandilla 2, Pendower 3. Nineteen others started. The betting was 4to 1. Circuit won after a good race by half-a-lenglb. Time, 1.45.
