Special to the Times. Woffington, last night. The total value of our shipments to South African ports by subsidised steamers from November, 1902 to 14th July, .1903, was £422,530, further shipment to 30th June, 1904 being valued at £320,072. Between’then and the 4th inst. the shipments were valued at £176,660. The leading items were: Butter £98,699, oats £24,839, wheat £20,000, poultry Xt 14,415.

T. Craig ( Wanganui)— 120 yds and quarter-mile hurdles and lone iumn H. S. Williams (Christchurch)— 100yds and 220yds flat. ; F. E. Drake (Ashburton)—22o yds and quarter-mile flat. H. Q-. Burke (Dunedin)—half-mile, one mile and three miles running. The Championship Igathering commences in Sydney on Saturday, the Utli of November. The New Zealand team leaves Wellington on Saturday, 4th November, by the Wimmera, after taking part in the amateur sports at Wellington.
