The weekly offioial review of the progress of the New Zealand international exhibition states that the contraot for the main building wa9 signed this weok. The work should be oompleted by 11th July next. Mr J. G. Gow, who reoently represented the colony as commercial agent in South Africa, takes up the duties of travelling representative for tho exhibition. Mr YouDg, manager of the Canadian Manufacturers’ Association, of Toronto, Canada, has been appointed commissioner for Canada for the purpose of working up an extensive representation of Canadian manufactures.
The oriminai sessions of the Supreme Court open on Monday. The calendar comprises ninoteen charges against twenty individuals. Eight of tho charges are in respeot of indeoenoy or indeoent assaults. Six prisouers will appear for sentence.
