The total for the thirteenth week of the New Zealand egg laying competition is 2048. making a grand aggregate of 64,764, and a weekly average per pen of 20.48. The highest layings for the week are Quinn’s white leghorns, Tapanui. 34; Theo. West's white wyandottes, Feilding, 32; M. MoOellum’s white leghorns, Blenheim, 32; Mick Shaw’s white leghorns, Blenheim, 81; A. Snodgrass’s black orpiDgtons, Maßterton, 31. The order of merit of the grand aggregate now runs as follows, the first six p6ns being white leghorns :H. Leger, Levin, 871; Brookes, i South Australia, 797; Marlborough A. and P. Association, 769; Mick Shaw, Blenheim, 758; Jonathan Hodeson, Blenheim, 743; Aldridge, Blenheim, 708; Hockey's brown leghorns, Nelson, 704; Ashworth’s silver wyandottes, Alexandra, 700.- There are about 120 hens in broody condition.
