LOVE AND A REVOLVER.
(Pec Press ’Association.) : j Auckland, last night. I At the Police Coutt to-day a young I sailor named Henry Oolline pleaded guilty to attempting to oommit suicide on Monday evening. It was stated that Collins visited a house in Ireland street, and bad.an altercation with a man who was keeping company with a young ■ woman who resided there. Defendant wished to pay attention to the woman, bat she was unwilling, and daring the argumeat defendant pulled out a revolver, loaded in five chambers, and turned it upon his breast. The woman knocked the revolver aside, preventing defendant from carring out his declared purpose. Defendant was liberated, and ordered to come np for sentence when called upon.
