Watson’s Jotter with roforonoe to Mr Carroll’s meettog at Tiniroto, as I proposed tho voto of thanks and confidonco it will perhaps be ooneeded that I know something about the matter, and I now state omphatioally that tbo voto was carried unanimously. As to tho numbor, I also took tho troublo to mako a oount, and my total oarne to 104 ; their employment or position in life did not oonoorn me. All I know is that thoy wore bona fide olootors in the district With tho exception of tho few Maoris who had oomo specially to interview the Hon. J. Carroll on some native matters. —I am, etc., F. J.
