CLAIM FOR DAMAGES.
COLLISION WITH MOTOR CAR. (Per Press Association.) Auckland, last night. The case of Miles and wife ‘v. Bennett for £SOOO and £ISOO damages respectively for injuries sustained as tho result of a collision between defendant’s motor-car and plaintiff’s trap, was concluded to day. Defendant, in his evidence, Btated that the horse ran into the car, and net the car into tho horse, which afterwards bolted for about 20 yards and then returned, upsetting the trap. Tbe jury awarded £3OO damages to Mr Miles and £4OO to Mrs Miles, with oosts according to scale.
