The New Zealanders pressed their opponents throughout the first half, except for an occas'onal break away. They scored three goals and ono try to France’s one try. After tbe interval the Frenchmen were quite outclassed, but scored a brilliant try, which was converted. Wallace placed two of the four goals obtained. Abbott and Tyler scored one each. The matoh ended : New Zealand 38 points ; Franoe, 8 points.
The Government message states : Tbe matoh, New Zealand v. France, resulted 38 to 8. Tbo New Zsaland score included four goals and six tries. Wallace secured three tries, Abbott, Hunter, and Harper two each, Glasgow one. The ground was ice-bound. An amusing game was played.

Tbe Management Committee of the Now Zealand Rugby Uaion decided this morning to cable to the manager of the • team tbat the Government’s generous offer to pay the expenses of the team’s transit via America and Canada had been acoep'el, and advising him to arrange accordingly, at the same time suggesting that matches might be played ea route home. A motion recording the Government’s magnanimity was passed. The team leaves ’Frisoo for Auckland on February 15th.
