He played splendidly all round the wicket, and was unlucky enough to drag a ball in. Torkiogion and Robinson both livened thing's up, and Ferris (15) and Grand (10) shaped well. Hastings slatted well, with four for 123, but the remaining batsmen were dismissed for 19. The wickets fell as under: To ) Davies four, Ferris three, Sheridan two, and Torkiogion one. Hastings lost six wickets in the second innings. The soores were Poverty Bay 285 (Lasker 96, Sheridan 80, Robinson 43, Torkiogion 25); Hastings 142 (Tottenham 42, Martin 38) and 115 for Bix wickets (Tottenham, not out 44), The Poverty Bay team play Sciode today, which will be their last rnatuh, They are all wel>, and enjoying themselves. Mr Frank Moeller, of the Masonic Hotel, presented two bats, one for tho highest score ogainst Napier, and the other for the best average for the tour.
