STRAND COMEDY COMPANY.

BOX PLiNS THIS MORNING.

At His Majesty’s Theatre this morning the box plans of tho " J P.” comedy season will be opened, allotment of seats being made by ballot on the stago of the theatre. As it is some time since Gisborne his had a visit from a first class company, there is expected to bo a big demand fot accommodation. The run of tha opening piece/ 1 The J.P.,” is of necessity limited to two nights on'y. It is seldom that a company of such repute has been gathered together for the interpretation of a play of this class, and the splendid enoomiuma the company has gamed in the chief cities of Austral'a are perhaps alone sufficient guarantee of its excellence. JJr J. J. Dallas and Miss Florence Lloyd are the ob ef performers in this clever van of comedy-makers, whilst the presence of such a well-known favorite as Miss Maude Chetwynd, who took prinoipal roles in “La Cingalee ” and “The Orchid” with Mr Williamsom’s Boyal Comic Opera Company some lime ago, gives added lustre to the presentation “There end Back” is announced for the last night of the season, and as this play comes to New Zealand as on accredited English success, the production will doubtless be witnessed by a crowded house.
