NATIVE REBELLION.
TOWNSHIP BELEAGUERED FOR A WEEK. «-»S*«*-** By telegraph, Presa Aes'n, Copyright Capetown, Feb. 23. Rebel natives beleaguered the township of Ixipo, Natal, for a week. Five hundred of all ages refagsd in the gaol, Dightly expecting attack. Colonel Mackenzie’s field force arrived and relieved the situation. Received 5.17 p.m., Feb. 25. Capetown, Feb. 24. A field of artillery, a force of mounted rifles, and two companies of tbe Durham Light Infantry have been ordered to Stanger, Colonel Luchars commanding.
