The Inspector General of Sohoola has piepared a eohems with regard to takiDg mjttr by the Education Department of the eduoation of Cook and other islands. The soheme is now under consideration. Tae Minister, as the result of a conference between the Minister for Customs, the managing direotor of the Union Steam Company, and Mr Holdsworth, general manager of the Company, will disouss with the Minister questions of improving the island service. So fir the RsrotoDga Fruit Committee has not agreed to send frait direot to Wellington. A fumigating shed is being erected at Rarotonga, which will obviate the necessity of frait beiDg fumigated in New Zsaland.
