Two diatinot fires coourrod hero last night, by tho first a fivo-roomod house in Allonton, owned and ocoupied by Mr O. Alloyno, was totally doslroyed. Tho insurances wore £125 on tho bouso in tho Victoria office and £SO on tho furniture in tho Now Zrelaud rifiee. A few hours later throo shops, oooupiod by Bairetow and Now (cabinetmakers) and a boardinghouso ocoupied by Mrs Daily, situated iu East streot, tho main street of Ashburton, were discovered to bo iu tlauios, aud woro also totally destroyed. The shops woro insured for £l2O in tho South British ;ud tho boarding-house for £l5O in tho Liverpool, London and Globo Bairstow and New lost ovor£lOOiu stook and tools.
