.(Per Press Association.) Uargivilia, last night. The death occurred on Sunday of Mrs Kopuru Rapana. a leading chieftainess of the North. Sho was tho daughter of Wanaka Tehu ; a, a man of high rank and standing. Several hundreds of natives assembled, being joined by mourners from all parts.

A house in the main street, owned by T. Green, and occupied by G. O’Neil], was gutted by fire at three this morning. The building was insured for £250 in tho New Zealand office, and the furniture (total loss) for £250 in the Victoria.
