PRESS ASSOCIATION Auokland, last night. At a reoeDt meeting of the City Council it was vopolvcd that the mattsc of buziuiDg workmen’s homes in the city bo S lvon oareful consideration. The Mayor (Mr A. Myers) wa3 interviewed by a Herald representative to-day, when ho expressed strong approval of the proposal. He outlined a eoheine by which a five-roomed house could be let for 10s a week, and ft four-roomad bouse for 8i 6:1. The Mayor Bays that the Council has powor under the Municipal Act to undertake snob work. The matter will again come before too Council.
