I’IIKSS ASSOCIATION Auckland, last Dight. At a meeting of the Auckland Seddon Memorial General Committee to night, an Exective Committee was appointed to carry out the proposal to establish a Technical College as a memorial to the late Premier.
It was resolved that the memorial include an erection allocated for such statue, to be determined at a later date. The. Mayor, who was elected chairman of the Committee, said he thought a national memqrial a fitting thing. It should bo erected at Wellington and should be provided by Government out of the consolidated fund, thus leaving each centre to provide local memorials. Mr Rosser (Secretary to the Trades and Labor Council) said the workers of this province were already taking the matter up very heartily.
