ANTI-NEGRJ RIOTS.
PRESS ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT New York, Sept. 25. The New Yotk Evening Post states that the Atlanta outbreak was the reeult of a campaign of denunciation of negroes, wbioh politicians and press of Georgia have pursued during the last six months. One newspaper offered a reward of one thousand dollars for the killing of every negro accused of assaulting a white woman.
The negroes at Atlanta ambushed and killed a polioe offioer and wounded four out of ten oonstables. The rest retaliated, killing several.
NEGROES PREPARE TO RETALIATE. PRESS ASSOCIATION -COPYRIGHT Reoeived 9.48 p.m., Sept. 26. New York, September 26. One thousand negroes at Brownsville procured arms with the objeot of retaliating on whites. The polios are closc-ly watohing the Clark University at Brownsville, where there are four hundred negro students. Some professors and students have been arrested.
