SHOT BY CHINAMAN
PRESS ASSOCIATION Dunedin, last night. A man named Peter MoEwen, employed on the electrio ears, was received into tho hospital to-night, suffering from a bullet wound in the thigh. At present hie condition is beliovod not to be sorious. A Chineso fish hawker named Liu Hoon has been arrested on a charge of shooting at McEwon. The particulars available are meagro. It appears that Liu Hoon has been molested a good deal by larrikins, and it is believed he thought MoEwen wbb one of those molesting him. As MoEwen was walking homo by way of Walker street the Chinaman fired two shots at him from a six-obambered revolver, one of the bullets striking him on the thigh. When the Chinaman was arrested he had the revolver on him, two ohambera being empty,
