At the Court sessions, Captain Oordiner, master of the Lord Antrim, wae fined £IOO for leaving pert with deftciive life-saving appliances in defiance of a detention order. The Judge said that some shipmasters came to Sydney, thinking they could defy tbe law- No matter bow foolish people might thiok our laws they most comply with them, and must be taught to conform thereto.
