Dalgety’s Ileview states:—Not for years—perhaps never before in New oouta Wales—have present prices and production, as well as prospects, been more satisfactory and encouraging lor pastoralists and agricult'urJsts than at present. Not only are prices high all round', but production is plentiful, The producer is raising quantity and quality, and he is oblaming high prices. Herein there h a reversal of what usually happens. 'n M, hPly and top prices—go 1. 1 go!her. Lbo general order of things with tlios eon the land is that when there ate good yields there is a cor--1 esponding shrinkage in values. Necessarily, it is so, for supply always iegiilates the market. When it is uell stocked, demand is more easily supplied and values depreciate, and \ ice_ versa. But the sheep and the cattle men have been securing, and are still obtaining, excellent prices. \iool values are also keeping up well. he demand is brisk, buyers are in keen and active competition, and the producer is gaining the reward. All tins is_ encouraging; the more so because it appears to be not the outcoino ot a corner working to unduly inflate prices in an unhealthy way, >ut to the soundness of healthy growth. The year just closed lias been one of the favorable ones, and for the increased output markets gradually opened up and prices were maintained. Nor at present does decline threaten. Therefore increased numbers in flocks and herds, also in areas., under dairying and under cultivation, may be relied upon as a result during the present year. Another'’ 12 months as prolific in production as lie period which lias just closed isproba >le, and should it be fully reahsed the States will, enjoy Bn era ol much prosperity, “
