WEDDINGS.
The marriage of Mr. C. W. Mujr, third son of Mr. A. R. Muir, to Miss Ivy Ford. eldest daughter of Mr. I'. A. Ford, took place yesterday afternoon at St. Andrew’s Church, the Rev. W. Grant officiating. The bridesmaids were Misses Rita I'ord, Isavaile Hogg, and Muriel Gray el Auckland, cousin of the bride . Mr. W. Johnston was best man, and Messrs. W. Henton and Bert Johnston were groomsmen. The charming bride was attired in a lovely dress of -white Irish and guipure lace over chiffon taffeta, with a dainty bodice of crepe de chine, and a high empire waist belt of soft satin ribbon. She also wore an embroidered tulle veil over a wreath oi orange blossom, and caried an exquisite shower bouquet, tied with white sntiu streamers. The bridesmaids ■vvore dainty frocks of embroidered muslin, prettily trimmed with Valenciennes lace, and lints which were creations of guipure lace and tulle, trimmed respectively with maize, mauve and pink. 'They .also carried lovely bouquets, tied with ribbons to correspond with- their bats. I lie bride’s mother was becomingly attired in a handsome gown of brown voile, mounted on taffeta cordon, and wore a floral toque. The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a handsome gold bangle, set with pearls arid torquoisos, and to the bridesmaids dainty pearl pendants. blie bride’s travelling costume _ was ot grev tweed, trimmed with dark gre'eu cloth and hat to corespond. After the ceremony a reception was hold by the bride’s parents at Budlei eh Hall, Palmerston road. Mr. and Mrs. Muir left last evening on a visit to Christchurch. Yesterday afternoon Miss Ellen Edith (Queenie) Black was married to Mr. James A. Pine, son of Mr. Robert Pirio, of Napier. The marriage took place at the residence ot the bride’s mother, Mrs. 'Valter Black, senr., Rutciie street, Haiti The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Mr. Grant, a numerous company of guests being present. Llic bride was given away by ner brother, Mr. Allan Black. She was attended by the Misses Flo and Ethel Black, and Helen McLean, niece of the bride. Mr. A. E. Rcnouf (Napier) was best mail. Inc bride wore a tasteful costume of cream voile, hand embroidered, with tlie orthodox veil and orange blossoms. The bridegroom’s gift to the, bride was a gold watch bangle and cable bracelet, and gold brooches to the Bridesmaids. About sixty guests Bat down to the wedding repast, whim was served in a largo marquee. . lit usual toasts were honored, and hearty wishes expressed tor the happiness and prosperity of the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Pine left for Napier hist evening, on route tor Christchurch on a visit.
